The ACM Conference on Recommender Systems (RecSys) is the premier international forum for presenting new research results, systems, and techniques across the broad field of recommender systems. RecSys brings together leading academic research groups alongside many of the world’s most influential companies in e-commerce and adjacent domains, and it has become the key annual venue for presenting and discussing advances in recommender systems research and practice.

RecSys 2026 will be the 20th conference in the series. To mark this twentieth anniversary, RecSys returns to the location of the first RecSys conference and will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

RecSys convenes researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to share results and identify emerging trends and challenges in building and deploying recommendation technology across a wide range of application contexts. In addition to the main technical track, the program includes keynote and invited talks, tutorials on state-of-the-art methods, a workshop program, an industrial track, and a doctoral symposium. Recent editions have attracted roughly 1,000–1,400 in-person participants (e.g., 1,444 in 2022 and 1,123 in 2024), with a strong mix of academic and industry attendees and a substantial student presence (~200 students in 2024). Past keynote speakers have included Elizabeth F. Churchill, Jeff Dean (Google), Neil Hunt (Netflix), Claudia Perlich (Dstillery), Jure Leskovec, and other leaders from both academia and industry.

Sponsorship opportunities

As an organization with expertise and experience in recommender systems and related areas, we invite you to become a sponsor of RecSys 2026. Sponsorship provides three key benefits for both the RecSys community and your organization:

  1. Support the community. Your sponsorship helps keep registration costs accessible for students and improves the conference experience for all attendees.
  2. Showcase and recruit. Sponsors can highlight their work and connect with top talent in recommender systems and machine learning.
  3. Engage with the field. Sponsorship provides opportunities to participate in and support conference activities and the broader community.
