REGISTRATION OPTIONS

RecSys 2026 requires registration for all conference participants. Main Conference registration includes the three main conference days (Tuesday through Thursday) including an evening reception on Tuesday and a conference social event at the Mill City Museum on Wednesday (both with food and drinks included). Main Conference + Tutorials/Workshops also includes access to workshops (on Monday and Friday) and tutorials (on Monday). There is no workshop-only registration option. Registrants who would like to bring an accompanying guest to the social event can purchase an additional social event ticket on the registration site. All prices listed are in USD and include all taxes.

RecSys 2026 does not provide discounted registrations based on country. Attendees with financial hardship are invited to apply for financial support through the Registration Discount Grant Application (forthcoming). Anyone requesting financial support must complete this form and receive a response before proceeding with the registration (We will not be able to refund paid registration fees and apply discounts retroactively).

Early Bird registration offers the lowest available rates. The Early Bird registration deadline is August 17, 2026 23:59 AoE. Cancellation is accepted subject to a 10% cancellation fee until August 17, 2026 23:59 AoE. After that date, registrants may transfer registration to another individual (students may only transfer registration to other qualified students) at no cost.

AUTHOR POLICY
  • Registration deadline for workshop and tutorial organizers: Aug 17, 2026 (same as the early bird registration deadline).
  • Each accepted proceedings paper (main track papers, demos, research and practice notes, reproducibility and industry tracks) must have at least one author registered by August 17, 2026 (the early bird registration deadline) for the corresponding contribution to be included in the conference proceedings.
  • Each accepted submission to individual workshops or the RecSys Challenge must have at least one author registered by September 11, 2026 for the work to be included in the workshop or challenge proceedings.

Each attending author pays a single registration fee, regardless of the number of contributions accepted (e.g., if an author submits and gets accepted a long and a short paper, a single registration would fulfill the policy mentioned above).

PAYMENT, CANCELLATION, REFUND, TRANSFER POLICIES

Payment Policy:

All payments for RecSys 2026 must be made in USD, and fees are due upon completion of your registration. Payments can be made via credit card, check, or wire transfer until September 11, 2026. Beginning September 12, 2026, only credit card payments will be accepted.

Cancellation, Refund, and Transfer Policy:

All refund requests must be made in writing to both and by August 17, 2026, at 11:59 pm AoE. A processing fee of 10% will be assessed for all registration refunds. Registrations may be transferred to another attendee by sending the request to by September 23, 2026 at 11:59pm AoE. Student registrations may only be transferred to other qualified students.

STUDENT POLICY

Anyone registering at the student rate must be a student member of ACM. The ACM membership ID serves as a proof for being a student during the registration process. If you are not yet an ACM student member you can apply anytime for membership. A valid student ID willl be required on-site.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

Invitation letters for visa purposes can only be sent to participants who have completed the registration process. Please see the VISA Requirements page for more details for more details on travel visas and visa support letters.
