Continuing the tradition started in 2014 to foster diversity among the RecSys community, we are happy to offer a platform where all conference attendees who identify as a female can celebrate and connect with other women in the RecSys community. The event provides an opportunity for female attendees to share the challenges and successes of women working within our community and to exchange experiences with one another.

This event, co-hosted by Tao Ye (Industry co-chair) and Sole Pera (General co-chair), has been supported by a Special Funding Initiative under the SIGCHI Development Fund Program for Internationalisation, Diversity and Inclusion events. Pre-registration is required.

Banquet

We invite you to a banquet at the Vancouver Convention Center overlooking the Bay of Vancouver. A light reception is available before the banquet, beginning at about 18:15 (supported by Wayfair).

Shuttle buses will leave the Parq Vancouver at 18:00 and 18:30; return buses will leave beginning at about 21:30 (supported by OpenTable). If you wish to walk, we recommend Robson to Burrard as a route that will take you through Vancouver’s vibrant downtown.
