RecSys 2019 is sold out! There will also be no on-site registration. Registration for RecSys 2019 took place through MCI’s registration system. In case of any questions or problems, please contact MCI.

Registration Options

To participate in RecSys 2019, registration for the main conference is mandatory, which includes access to all social events, coffee breaks and lunches. Registering for the tutorials and/or workshops is optional; all prices are in Danish Crowns (DKK) and include VAT.

A special exhibitor registration is available too for sponsors at 2,750 DKK; this includes access to the exhibition floor and all coffee breaks and lunches, but social events and main conference sessions are not included.

Author Policy
  • Each accepted proceedings paper (long and short papers) or demo must have at least one author registered by Aug 1, 2019.
  • Each accepted poster or workshop paper must have at least one author registered.
Student Policy

Anyone registering at the student rate must be a student member of ACM (or SIGCHI, SIGIR, SIGecom, SIGAI, SIGKDD). The ACM membership ID serves as a proof for being a student during the registration process. If you are not yet an ACM student member you can apply anytime for membership. A valid student ID is required on-site.

Accommodation

The Scandic Falkoner is the featured conference hotel. A (limited) number of rooms at the Scandic Falkoner will be available at a discounted rate through the RecSys 2019 registration system as part of the registration process. There are no discount codes; discounted room rates are only available through the registration system.

In addition to the Scandic Falkoner, a (limited) number of rooms will be available at two additional, more budget-conscious hotels at a discounted rate: the Cabinn Scandinavia and the Cabinn Express. These can also be booked through the registration system.

Visa Information

If you need a visa to travel to Denmark for the conference, please check with the Danish authorities on the process and deadlines for ensuring you have your visa in time. For more information, see Danish visa rules.

Student Support
  • Student Volunteers: Student volunteers are essential to the success of the RecSys conference. In return for help at the conference, student volunteers receive a number of benefits including, including free conference registration. Please see here for more details and enrollment instructions.
  • SIGCHI student travel grant: More information about this opportunity to receive travel support ist available here. The next deadline for applying is May 03, 2019.
  • SIGCHI Gary Marsden Student Development Fund: The purpose is to support growth of HCI in developing worlds by sponsoring SIGCHI student members who are postgraduate students from and currently based in developing countries to attend HCI relevant conferences or SIGCHI (co)sponsored summer/winter schools.
    More information about applying for funding is available here. The next application submission deadlines are 15th of May and August, 2019.
