How to get to the EPFL
From Train Station: At the Lausanne train station, take bus No. 1 to the stop Saint François (alternatively, take the Metrobus to the stop Lausanne-Flon), then take the metro at the Lausanne-Flon until you reach the EPFL stop.
From Mövenpick hotel: First take bus No. 2 to the stop Bourdonnette, then take the metro at the Bourdonnette stop (toward the direction: Renens CFF) until you reach the EPFL stop.

How to get to Lausanne
Lausanne is beautifully located on the north shore of Lake Geneva (le lac Léman), 61 km from Geneva, looking onto the Swiss Alps. It is a medium size town with a total population of around 300,000 and is the capital of the Canton of Vaud, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
From Geneva. The nearest airport from Lausanne is in Geneva (Cointrin Airport) in the neighboring canton. When you arrive at the Cointrin Airport take the direct train for Lausanne (about 45 min).
From Zurich. Zürich airport (Kloten) is 2H30 hours from Lausanne by train.
